Disused Stations website
Durham Mining Museum website
Subterranea Britannica website
The Disused Stations website has pages devoted to most Weardale stations, and some other information.
Each page includes location details, dates, description, brief history and many photos of the station.
Warning: A few bits of information on this website are incorrect and some are noted below.
The relevant pages for each station are:
Bishop Auckland to Blackhill
Note that the dates of use of southern and northern stations may be incorrect on Disused Stations.
Note: The station mistress in 1881 was Mary Peverell, not Mary Reaseall. In 1891 she was gate keeper at High Stoop.
Note: The photo captioned as "A display at Waskerley church described this as Burnhill station in 1910. This is incorrect ..." is NOT Burnhill station. This photo shows the shunters cabin at South Pelaw sidings (Stella Gill), Pelton Fell. Another copy of the photo, correctly captioned, is Beamish NEG14241 here.
Note: The website incorrectly uses the name "Durhills" to refer to Hobson Brothers Weatherhill Quarry.
The Durham Mining Museum website has pages for hundreds of collieries, mines and quarries, including a large number in Weardale.
Each page provides information on the location, owners, dates, output, employment, fatalities, sources and other material (including some newspaper reports and photos).
The easiest starting point is

where the first letter of the name of any colliery, mine or quarry leads to a list of pages available.
Within the page for each mine etc, there is a very useful link to a list of other nearby mines (within 5 miles).
Some useful starting points are:

The Subterranea Britannica website has pages devoted to many Weardale mines which had mine railways.
